Good things from today.

I woke today and did my morning practice. What is morning practice? Well, for me, that means I light a candle (ok, a lot of candles. I have different ones for different intentions.) I smoke cleanse my house and roll out my yoga mat and move my body in a conscious way. The key here is nervous system regulation, not 'be the skinniest and bendiest in all the world'. I work through asanas with breath and intention. My goal is to stay in the present moment, because I have a tendency, each and every time I step on my mat, to imagine I am teaching a yoga class, and I will a start to explain postures and modifications, and blah blah blah, and I have to reel myself in and come back to the NOW moment, and Just. Breathe. And be HERE.  After yoga practice, I will sit in meditation. The time I sit varies, and once my consciousness starts to travel, time really loses all meaning and form. (Interesting fact: when I am working on a distance healing session, while I'm actually in the quantu...

Love.

The other night I was just about to fall asleep when I suddenly felt awash in this feeling; This deep, warm, safe feeling of being loved. Loved not for what I do, or what I accomplish, but simply loved because I exist. I knew without a doubt in that moment, that God loves me. The trinity, the Holy family.  Mind, body, spirit. God, Jesus, Holy Spirit (Shekinah, Sophia, or Wisdom. She has many names). This hit me the other day, like a lightning bolt out of a clear and cloudless sky: Our mind, body, and spirit correlate to the three parts of God themself. I knew the fact of it, that every single thing in the physical is a reflection of the spi...

There have been, and will be more, changes in my world. My husband got a new job a few weeks ago, and with that new job comes a good deal of travel. So, we are moving back to Alabama. I'll go back to work (part-time) at H2O2 Hair Studio (yay!), and I will be getting some yoga classes together as well.  Also, my son graduated high school this past weekend, and is headed to the NAVY in about 6 weeks! Big changes! I'm excited about moving back. Steven is liking his new job a lot. It's with a bigger company, and all the benefits of that, which is nice after working for a few smaller companies that involved a lot of disorganization and chaos, haha. My Moma and I recorded another podcast episode! I took time off from recording, about the same amount of time that I took off from writing here. Here's why: I got depressed. It happens a few times a year, I just get hit with it, and sometimes it lasts a few days or a week, and sometimes it just hangs on for, longer. This last tim...
